The suit, filed Monday, is against the company and the manufacturer, Pfizer, which has been accused of a number of health risks. U. District Judge Michael Young is the only one from New York who has made such a ruling.

The suit was filed on January 23, 2020, and it was submitted by the U. Food and Drug Administration in December. Johnson said that Viagra has been marketed to consumers for more than a decade and is still in use.
“Pfizer has not acted appropriately and will continue to do so,” he said.
The complaint also said the company failed to provide the FDA with enough information to determine whether a warning was in place.
The complaint said the company failed to adequately warn consumers of the potential health risks associated with Viagra. The FDA has said the company has “a continuing obligation to inform consumers of the safety and efficacy of any medication” that the drug may be prescribed for an individual’s condition.
“This action is not an adequate response to the allegations made in the complaint,” said Robert K. Kieffer, chief executive of Pfizer.
